Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026 • Compliant with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA & Global Privacy Standards
At Datasheetly ("we", "us", "our"), we operate with a strict privacy-first, minimal-collection philosophy. We only process personal information strictly necessary to provide your digital buyer vault, process payments via Polar.sh, fulfill custom engineering orders, and respond to support tickets.
Our Excel (.xlsx) workbooks run 100% locally on your computer. Datasheetly does not inspect, upload, synchronize, read, or store any of the proprietary financial records, client names, invoices, or numerical data you enter into your downloaded spreadsheets. Your business data remains completely private on your local storage.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Data: When you register or sign in (via email or Google OAuth), we store your email address, display name, and securely hashed credentials to grant you access to your purchased systems in your Digital Vault.
- Transaction & Entitlement Data: All financial credit card and banking details are processed directly by our Merchant of Record, Polar.sh. Datasheetly never receives or stores your full credit card number. We receive transaction identifiers, customer email, order timestamps, and purchased template SKUs to issue download licenses.
- Support Tickets & Screenshots: When you open a support ticket, submit a review, or send a custom project brief with pasted screenshots (`Ctrl+V`) or image attachments, these images are stored securely in our private database (`attachment` storage) solely for our engineering team to diagnose and resolve your request.
- Technical & Telemetry Data: Minimal, privacy-friendly server access logs (anonymized IP addresses for rate-limiting, browser user-agent for display compatibility) to detect service outages and security abuse.
2. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR Article 6)
We process personal information under the following lawful bases:
- Performance of a Contract: To deliver purchased spreadsheet downloads, manage customer accounts, and fulfill custom development briefs.
- Legitimate Interests: To detect malicious bot activity, safeguard website integrity, and provide responsive customer technical support.
- Consent: For optional analytics and functional preference cookies, which you can manage at any time via our Cookie Preferences dialog.
3. Third-Party Subprocessors
We collaborate exclusively with trusted, industry-standard service providers who comply with stringent international data security protocols:
4. "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal information with third-party advertising companies, data brokers, or marketing syndicates. Datasheetly is funded exclusively through direct sales of software, spreadsheet workbooks, and custom development services.
5. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you possess the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right of Access & Portability: You can request a copy of all personal records and purchase logs associated with your account.
- Right to Rectification: You can update your profile name or password directly inside your Account Settings.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request complete deletion of your account and support ticket history by submitting a request to privacy@datasheetly.com.
- Right to Restrict Processing & Withdraw Consent: You can reject non-essential cookies at any time via our Cookie Preferences trigger.
6. Data Retention & Security
We maintain order and entitlement records for as long as your account remains active to provide continuous access to your purchased downloads. All data is transmitted over secure TLS 1.3 encryption and stored in hardened PostgreSQL databases with automated backups.
